Nahaharap ngayon sa closure order ang 51 mga establisyimento sa isla ng Boracay dahil sa hindi ito nakakonekta sa wastewater treatment facility at pagtatapon ng kanilang sewage sa baybayin.Nabatid na inilabas ang kanilang notice nito lang Pebrero 13 sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act No. 9275 o ang Clean Water Act of 2004.
“We will give these establishments three to five days to respond. Otherwise, we will cut their water connections,” ayon kay DENR Secretary Roy Cimatu.
