Ad hoc committee iimbestigahan ang ‘pagsulputan’ ng mga Chinese establishment sa Boracay

BORACAY ISLAND - Bubuo ng isang ad hoc committee ang Boracay Inter-Agency Management Group para imbestigahan ang umano’y pagsulputan ng mga Chinese establishment sa Isla ng Boracay.

Ito ang sinabi ni Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Epimaco Densing III sa isang press conference na ginanap sa Isla ng Boracay Huwebes ng hapon.

Ayon kay Densing, kabilang sa ad hoc committee ang pamahalaang lokal ng Malay, labor department, Department of Justice, Department of Trade and Industry, Bureau of Immigration.

Isa umano sa dapat tingnan sa imbestigasyon ay ang mga kaukulang permit at mga lisensiya ng mga nasabing establisyemento. Aniya, “secondary in nature” lamang ang mga Chinese character na nakikita sa labas ng mga establishment na ito.

Aalamin din umano ng committee kung ang mga nagtratrabaho rito ay mga Pilipino. Pero kung may pinagtratrabaho umano silang mga foreigner ay dapat sumusunod ito sa mga batas ng bansa.

Saka palang umano magpapataw ng aksiyon ang gobyerno kapag may mga nakita silang lumalabag sa batas.

Pahayag pa niya dapat ay may kaakibat na English translation palagi ang mga Chinese characters sa mga establishment at dapat aniya ay para sa general public ang kanilang mga establishment lalo kapag restaurant.

Mababatid na ilang mga netizen at mga residente ang nagpahayag ng kanilang pagkadismaya sa kanilang naobserbahan na umano'y pagsulputan ng mga Chinese establishment sa Isla matapos itong ipasara.##

Mayor Cawaling hinatulan ng "guilty" dahil sa kapabayaan sa Boracay


HINATULANG GUILTY si Malay Mayor Ceciron Cawaling sa mga kasong Grave Misconduct, Gross Neglect of Duty, Conduct Unbecoming Prejudicial to the Best Interest of the Service.

Ang mga nasabing kaso ay dahil umano sa kapabayaan at kakulangan ng opisyal sa pangangalaga sa Isla ng Boracay.

Kaugnay rito isinirbe sa kanya ang dismissal order hapon ng Miyerkules.

Uupo bilang Mayor ang kanyang bise alkalde na si Abraham Sualog.

Mababatid na kaninang umaga lamang ay naupo ang alkalde matapos ang anim na buwang suspensiyon habang nililitis ang kaso.

Guilty rin ang hatol kay Licensing Officer III Jen F. Salsona sa mga parehong kaso.

Samantala dinismis naman ng Ombudsman ang kaparehong kaso sa iba pang mga lokal na opisyal:

The Provincial Government of Aklan spearheads its 63rd Foundation Anniversary Celebration with a month-long series of activities under the theme, “Aklan:  Sustaining The March Towards Economic Self-reliance And Ideal Social Services”.

“Holy week in Aklan, peaceful and orderly”- Manlapaz

THE WEEK-LONG Lenten celebration in Aklan province was considered peaceful and orderly despite the occurrence of several untoward incidents recorded in some areas.

Record shows that there is only 1 physical injury and 1 arrested wanted person that took place on April 20 and prior to that, no related incident were recorded so far.

Manlapaz said the increase of police presence, intelligence monitoring and continuous dissemination of IEC materials in resorts, religious shrines and other areas of convergence contributed for the peaceful and orderly celebration of the Holy Week.

“Malaki talaga ang naitulong ng pagdagdag natin ng kapulisan sa mga mataong lugar upang maiwasan ang kriminalidad,” the province top cop said.

Inspecting team from Police Regional Office as well as from Aklan PPO were also on the field to check if the PNP uniform personnel are doing their duties in their area of responsibility.

Meanwhile, Aklan PNP is continuously securing the places of convergence and not only for the Holy Week break but during the entire summer vacation.

Manlapaz directed his men to continuously provide public safety services to motorists, commuters and the general public by conducting intensified security patrols and traffic management along national highways and other public thoroughfares during the entire summer vacation. (PSSg. C. Lagatic)
