Aklan may bago nang police provincial director


KALIBO, AKLAN - May bago nang provincial director ang kapulisan sa Aklan sa katauhan ni Police Colonel Esmeraldo Osia Jr.

Si Osia ay naging acting provincial director ng Guimaras ng halos isang buwan lamang bago siya nalipat.

Naging hepe rin siya ng Regional Aviation Security Unit (AVSEU) sa Western Visayas.

Si Osia ang pumalit kay PCol. Lope Manlapaz na naglingkod ng mahigit dalawang taon sa probinsiya bilang provincial director.

Si Manlapaz ay malilipat sa Police Regional Office 6 sa Iloilo City.

Isinagawa ang turn-over of command Martes ng umaga sa Camp Pastor Martelino sa Brgy. New Buswang, Kalibo.

Nagpaabot naman ng pasasalamat si Col. Manlapaz sa lahat ng kapulisan sa Aklan, mga stakeholders at mga mamamayan sa pagsuporta sa kanyang liderato.

Habang ipagpapatuloy naman umano ni Col. Osia ang mga magagandang nasimulan ni Manlapaz sa Aklan at i-improve kung ano ang dapat i-improve.##

Gun ban violators in Aklan now at 31, liquor ban to be implemented - Aklan PNP

 From January 13 to date, 31 gun ban violators have been recorded by Aklan police force.

With this, the provincial top cop, PCOL Lope Manlapaz, sends warning to the public with the increase in number of gun ban violators three days before May 13 elections.

“There will be no let-up in our operations against persons who defy gun ban.”

“We have already arrested 31 violators and confiscated 20 bladed weapons and seven firearms since day 1,” he said.

Manlapaz revealed that most of the arrests yielded in PNP-AFP-Comelec checkpoint operations. Other violators were arrested by police responding to call for assistance, visibility patrols and saturation drives and oplan sita.

He also explained that gun ban is being enforced to prevent any form of election-related violent incidence this election period.

Meanwhile, liquor ban shall be activated starting 12 A.M of May 12 (Sunday) until 12 midnight of May 13, 2019 (Monday).

Police on red alert during 2019 election

The police force in the province of Aklan will be in full alert status and will intensify all security measures to deter and prevent violence during election day.

The province top cop, Police Colonel Lope Manlapaz, declared the entire police force in Aklan on full alert in adherence to the directive of PNP Headquarters.

Based on the PNP guidelines, during Full Alert status, all PNP uniformed personnel (100%) must be present in their respective offices during and after office hours, including weekends and holidays.

Granting of leaves is suspended and those who were on leave shall be recalled, except for female PNP personnel on maternity leave or those whose given address while on leave is beyond fifty (50) kilometers from mother unit.

However, the latter shall report to the nearest police unit which will inform the mother unit by fastest means of communication, followed by a written report, for accounting purposes.

“With the success of the campaign on the gun ban and continuous intelligence monitoring, there is more reason that we must push our police personnel to be more vigilant to ensure that the May 2019 election will not only be orderly but importantly peaceful,” he said.

He is also reminding the public to be vigilant and to report any sightings of violations of the Comelec rules and regulations regarding the electoral processes so we could prevent possible violent confrontation among candidates and their supporters.(PSSg. PNP Aklan campaigns against fake medicines

[Press Release] EARLY TODAY at MO2 Western hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City, the Provincial top cop PSSupt Lope M Manlapaz joins the Consumer Forum and National Consciousness Week Against Counterfeit Medicines (NCWACM) of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) together with Provincial Directors and PNP members coming from different Provincial Offices with a theme “Tagumpay Laban sa Pekeng Medisina, Abot Kamay sa Pagtutulungan ng Bawat Isa".

A commitment has been signed by inter agencies spearheaded by FDA graced in the person of Ms. Deborah S. Legaspi, RPh, Director II, Mindanao east cluster., FDA and the Philippine National Police (PNP). The activity aims to intensify its campaign on Consumer Protection against counterfeiting medicines. From which based on the pledge of agencies and stakeholders commitment, it concedes to licensing of health establishment and registering of health products. Hence, close monitoring concerning the same will be heightened.

However, in line with the campaign to boost the FDA enforcement there was a formulation of task force dubbed as Destroy Products UNfit for Consumption of Humans or known as “D-PUNCH”. Further officers who will take charge the forces will be trained and shall have appropriate equipment for proper conduct of surveillance; intelligence and case build up activities in combating such criminal acts.

PSSupt Manlapaz said to quote “presentation shows and conveys the message of saying “NO” to unregistered medicines and reporting it to proper authorities for the security and safety of the public. That is why I enjoin everyone to be a part of this advocacy for the safety of Aklan Province”.##

MGA TRICYCLE AT PEDICAB IPAGBABAWAL SA MGA NATIONAL HIGHWAY SA AKLAN

IPAGBABAWAL NA na dumaan sa mga national highway sa Aklan ang mga tricycle at mga pedicab alinsunod sa memorandum na ibinaba ng Department of Interior and Local Government.

Inatasan na ni PSSupt Lope Manlapaz, provincial director ng kapulisan sa probinsiya, ang kapulisan sa mga bayan na magsagawa ng pagpupulong sa mga driver at operator.

Kasunod ito ng hiling ng Nagkakaisang Samahan ng mga Nangangasiwa ng Panlalawigang Bus sa Pilipinas Inc. sa DILG na ipatupad ng PNP ang nasabing memorandum.

Sa bayan ng Kalibo, kasama ang pamahalaang lokal nagsagawa ang kapulisan ng pagpulong sa mga opisyal ng mga asosasyon ng mga tricycle at pedicab araw ng Miyerkules.

Ayon kay PSupt Richard Mepania, hepe ng Kalibo PNP, sang-ayon umano ang mga drivers at operators sa planong ito. Pag-aaralan pa umano nila ang magiging alternatibong rota ng mga tricycle at pedicab.

Gayunman kapag walang ibang pwedeng daan para sa kanila, maaari parin naman umano nilang gamitin ang national highway basta nasa tabi lang umano sila palagi.

Ipagbabawal rin ang mga tricycle at pedicab na magsakay ng mahigit na pasahero o mga karga kesa sa nakasaad sa kanilang prangkisa. Posiblen aniyang patawan ng kaukulang penalidad ang lalabag rito.

Napag-alaman na ang panawagang ito na i-ban ang mga tricycle ay noon pang 2007 sa ilalim ng Memorandum Circular 2007-01. Layunin nito na maiwasan ang mga aksidenteng kinasasangkutan ng mga sasakyang ito.##

118 AKLANON PNP STEPS A RANK HIGHER

Yesterday morning at Aklan Police Provincial Office, a total of one hundred twelve (112) Police Non Commissioned Officers (PNCOs) took their oath to the next higher rank while six (6) Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) took theirs at Police Regional Office 6 in Iloilo, City.

Aklan PPO’s top cop PSSupt Lope M Manlapaz officiated the oath of office in Aklan Police Provincial Office and spearheaded the pinning of rank insignias together with the families and loved ones’ of the newly promoted PNP personnel in Aklan Province.

As PSupt Jun V. Derla, APPO, DPDO delivered the welcome address he quoted that promotion in ranks signifies the individual’s performance in doing jobs well while projecting to the public their potential in upholding public service. Derla then encouraged them to work further and bear in mind that its membership in the PNP organization is a life blood in raising their respective fami
lies.

Likewise, Manlapaz acknowledged all the sacrifices of all the promoted personnel in the maintenance of public safety in the province. “Lubos kong ring pinasasalamatan ang bawat kapamilya at mahal sa buhay ng mga kapulisan kong ito, sapagkat kayong lahat ay naroon sa lahat ng oras upang sumuporta at magbigay ng walang sawang pag unawa sa kanila”, he added.

Meanwhile, at Police Regional Office 6, Iloilo, City, six (6) Police Commissioned Officers of Aklan PPO were donned to the next higher rank as follows: PCI Josephine A Jomocan (Numancia PNP), PCI Jerick B Vargas (Nabas PNP), PCI Gilbert Valdevarona (Malinao PNP), PSI Dexter A Brigido (Malay PNP), PI Jay T Javier and PI David Rentillo both from New Washington PNP.
