Revenue code ng probinsiya nais baguhin pabor sa libreng terminal fee sa mga Aklanon

MULING PAG-AARALAN ng Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Aklan ang isinusulong na revised revenue code ng probinsiya ngayong taon pabor pagbibigay ng libreng terminal fee sa mga residente ng Aklan na bumibisita sa Isla ng Boracay.

Iminungkahi ni SP member Soviet Dela Cruz sa regular session ng Sanggunian noong Enero 14 na muling pag-aralan ng Committee of the Whole ang revised revenue code lalo na ang binanggit na probisyon bago nila ito aprubahan sa ikalawa at ikatlong pagbasa.

“The committee of the whole failed to consider the main problem that is frequently meet at the Caticlan jetty port – the issue on who can avail of the free terminal fee amounting to Php100 for residents of Aklan,” pahayag ng opisyal.

“Although this was presented during the committee and public hearing this was not extensively discussed and the provision of the old revenue code is almost adopted in toto which is if we are going to carry this in the revised revenue code it well still continue to have the same issue and different interpretation.”

Matatandaan na Pebrero noong nakaraang taon sumailalim sa pagdinig ang usapin sa terminal fee sa jetty port. Iminungkahi rito na idagdag ang iba pang valid ID kabilang na ang barangay ID at sedula bilang proof of residents para mapalawak pa ang makaavail ng libreng terminal fee.##
