Pasado ang pamahalaang lokal ng Aklan at ang 16 na munisipalidad sa Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) matapos magpakita ng kahusayan sa financial administration.
Ayon sa Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) nakapasa ang mga ito sa mga sumusunod na criteria:
“1. Unqualified or Qualified COA Opinion of the immediately preceding year;
2. Compliance with the Full Disclosure Policy: Posting of Financial Documents in three (3) Conspicuous Places and in the Portal;
3. Posting of Electronic Statement of Receipt and Expenditures (e-SRE) in BLGF Website.”
Ayon kay Atella Peralta-Velasco, local government operation V ng DILG-Aklan, hindi nakasama ang bayan ng Malay sa nasabing listahan dahil hindi nila na-comply ang unang criteria.
Paliwanag ni Velasco, ang GFH ay bahagi lamang para makapasok sa Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).
Ang GFH Certification ay requirement sa mga LGU para maka-access ng loans alinsunod sa Local Finance Circular No. 1-2012 at sa mga national program kagaya ng Bottom-Up Budgeting Program at SALINTUBIG Program ng DILG.
