AKLAN AT PITONG BAYAN PASADO SA SEAL OF GOOD LOCAL GOVERNANCE

Pasado ang Aklan at ang pitong bayan nito sa 2017 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) kasunod ng assessment na ginawa noong nakaraang taon.

Ang mga bayang ito ay Altavas, Banga, Buruanga, Ibajay, Kalibo, Lezo at Tangalan.

Ang mga LGU na ito ay pumasa sa apat na core assessment areas  (Good Financial Housekeeping, Social Protection, Disaster Preparedness, and Peace and Order), at isa sa mga  essential assessment areas  (Business-friendliness and Competitiveness, Environmental Management, and Tourism, Culture & Arts).

Bilang passer ng SGLG, ang mga LGU na ito ay magkakaroon ng access sa Performance Challenge Fund (PCF), facilitation of loan approval through the issuance of Good Financial Housekeeping Certification, at iba pang programa ng Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

Layunin ng SGLG ang ma-ipromote ang transparency at accountability sa operation ng mga pamahalaang lokal.

Isasagawa ang Conferment Ceremony of the Seal sa November 27.
