A CASE of robbery hold up transpires along National Highway of Barangay Feliciano, Balete Aklan yesterday afternoon, August 29. Almer Emblarinag, 34 years old of Antique Province and Jonard Pacheco, 41 years old of Iloilo City are the victims of the said case.

Investigation reveals that Emblarinag and Pacheco were both on board in a white foton close van with temporary plate number GC1876 traversing from Numancia, Aklan going to Iloilo City together with one (1) of the unidentified suspects.
Upon reaching the area, a tricycle with two (2) unidentified personalities was already parked at the side of national highway. The person whom they are with then tapped them to stop at the said parked tricycle. From there, one of the waiting unidentified suspects stood up, approached the van and drew a firearm to the victims declaring a scenario of hold up. Then the suspect on board armed with a hammer struck the victims on their heads.
The suspects took the clutch bag with cash money amounting to more or less P228,000.00 of the victims and fled away heading Banga, Aklan. By chance, one of the victims was able to drive the vehicle to Poblacion Balete, Aklan to seek for help and immediate response. Residents in the area made it possible by bringing the victims to its Rural Health Unit (RHU) and then later on referred to a private hospital in Kalibo Aklan.
As to the statement of Balete PNP spearheaded by Police Inspector Lizel Goboy, COP Balete, the station is doing its best to mark this case as SOLVED. PI Goboy appeals to the suspects to surrender the soonest in order to the Balete Police Station and the Aklan PNP in general may help them to make themselves away from risk due to the continuous hot pursuit operation against them. Further she said that the identification of the suspects has already reached their office and were already communicated to other line units for reference.
“Nananawagan po ako sa mga kapamilya at kakilala ng mga suspetsado at maging sa kumunidad na ipagbigay alam ang kinaroroonan nila upang mas mapadali at mapagaan ang kasong ito”. Goboy added.
Aklan PPO: "We appeal for the public's cooperation and support in the maintenance of a safe and orderly Aklan Province".##
